A flaccid remake of the classic 1954 romantic comedy. Ormond is the dowdy daughter of the chauffeur to a wealthy family. She grows up adoring one of the family‘s sons (Kinnear) and moves to Paris to get a total fashion make-over. When she returns, Kinnear falls for her chic new looks, but it‘s curmudgeonly older brother Ford who tries to woo her. It falls down on most fronts - Ormond is simply not sexy here, Ford is too old for her and shows no believable spark of passion, which means it‘s left up to Kinnear to bring a shallow but amusing charm to the proceedings.
