　　 But some may argue that in Star Wars prequels Portman isn't much more than eye candy, a pretty vase in the show.  In a sense, this may be true because Star Wars hasn't really left enough room for her to do some real acting. 

　　 Then she grabbed my attention again in The Other Boleyn Girl.  Portman's performance in developing a pretty but plain village girl into an ambitious, purpose-driven woman who goes desperate in the end of the movie is nearly impeccable.  She's far more than a pretty vase, I said to myself. 

　　 The challenge of shifting between the white swan and the black is indeed backbreaking, but Portman seems to have possessed both qualities and she's not having difficulty shuttling back and forth between them.  The last part of the movie, the musical itself, is done so intensively that it's enough to take your breath away.
