  B:现在有的人总是下午茶称为HighTea,听起来怪怪的。

  A:说起来,这里还有一点小故事呢

  B:在英文里面,真正的HighTea是指英国的乡间的农夫、木匠,干完活后腰酸背痛,加上英国的夏天日长夜短,到了下午5、6点,太阳还是相当猛烈。他们要回家吃一些轻便的晚餐,喝杯啤酒、吃点面包是最好的选择,这一种就叫做HighTea。因为他们是在厨房吃饭,厨房的桌子特别的高,就为High,在英国要喝到货真价实的下午茶,不是叫HighTea,而是叫AfternoonTea,他们的桌子一点也不高,只不过是品尝下午茶的人身份比较高贵。A:下午茶的起源是来自于十八世纪的英国皇室,有一位女伯爵叫做安娜,每天都要排期参加宴会,通常皇宫的宴会都要八、九点才开始,下午肚子就开始饿了,于是忍不住就叫厨房冲了一壶茶,拿几块饼干来填饱肚子,吃着吃着就上瘾了,于是又叫了些蛋糕、面包、三文治、糕点等等,慢慢下午茶便成了宫廷的一种时尚,还吸引了一帮贵妇聚在一起,叽叽喳喳,道人是非,这个就是下午茶的由来了。

  B:大家明白了吗,接下来,我们给大家讲一个小故事

  there.Itwilldoyouquitethesameservice;forwhenthegoldwasthere,youhaditnot,asyoudidnotmaketheslightestuseofit."

  B:有个守财奴变卖了他所有的家产,换回了金块,并秘密地埋在一个地方。他每天走去看看他的宝藏。有个在附近放羊的牧人留心观察,知道了真情,趁他走后,挖出金块拿走了。守财奴再来时,发现洞中的金块没有了,便捶胸痛哭。有个人见他如此悲痛,问明原因后,说道:“喂,朋友,别再难过了,那块金子虽是你买来的,但并不是你真正拥有的。去拿一块石头来,代替金块放在洞里,只要你心里想着那是块金子,你就会很高兴。这样与你拥有真正的金块效果没什么不同。依我之见,你拥有那金块时,也从没用过。”
